Hi everyone! August is now over (how? I still feel like I’m trapped in a perpetual March) and I am looking forward to September. Classes will begin for my first semester (I’ve not been updated on whether it will be all online or if there is a opportunity for face-to-face learning), we’re going to enter Autumn and I’ll be busy reading.
This August I didn’t plan a TBR list because I had so much reading for university to finish, meaning that I didn’t want to pressure myself into reading when I already had so much do. Despite that, I still managed to do some reading for myself including reading Twilight for the first time (my review is now up!). In September though I have a few books that I definitely want to get through.
- Beautiful Creatures– Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.
I started Beautiful Creatures in August but couldn’t quite finish it. I am reading it for my series Reading Teen/YA fiction so I definitely will be finishing it in first couple of days in September. I am enjoying it so far but for some reason I am reading it a lot slower than I thought I would.
- Beach Read– Emily Henry
I have been wanting to read Beach Read since I heard about the plot. I have heard a lot of good things about this and it is one of my most anticipated reads of 2020. I know that August would have been a great month to read a book set in the summer but I only just purchased it. Look out for my thoughts as I definitely will be reviewing this one!
- Majesty: American Royals 2– Katharine McGee
I was obsessed with the first American Royals book when I read it back in May and I was so excited when I learnt the second book in the series was not far away. I can’t wait to see what happens next
If I make it through my three definite reads and I am still on top of my university work then here the books I’m hoping to get around to!
- You Should See Me in a Crown– Leah Johnson
I’ve heard so many great things about Leah Johnson’s writing so I’m hoping I’ll be able to get to this one before the end of September.
- Bringing Down the Duke– Evie Dunmore
Keeping up with my Royal theme I’m hoping to find the time to read Bringing Down the Duke. I am so intrigued by the plot synopsis and I’m trying to read more Historical Fiction so I think this is a good place to start.
