Hi everyone! A little known fact about me is that I love October. It brings with it the start of autumn, my favourite season, as well as the start of the excitement for the end of the year. I love when the clocks go back and the nights start getting darker. I love the changing colours on trees. I love getting ready for Halloween celebrations- which for me include shopping for decorations, costumes and more sweets than should be allowed. This October I’ve decided to join in with Blogtober. A blog post for every day of this month. I’m here on Day 1 to outline my plans for the rest of month (for your benefit and for my own when I doubtlessly forget what I want to write about around day eleven).
Aims for Blogtober:
- Blog once a day and upload around 5pm (GMT).
- Posts will be a mix of book focused blogs and university/studying.
- In the last week the theme of the blogs will mainly revolved around Halloween.
- Keep you guys up to date with what I’m reading throughout the month.
- Include some lifestyle blog posts.
As this is the first day I’m just going to give a brief summary of my day! I only had one contact hour of university today. It was an online lecture for my Dissertation. Throughout October I’ll be beginning to form the base of my Dissertation and you’ll be along for the ride. Besides that I have completed two of the five questions I need to have done before my seminar on Monday and finished the reading for my Tuesday seminar. Before Tuesday I have to create a presentation will be performed in a group (not ecstatic about that, I am not a fan of group work).
Outside of working I have my introduction to my beginnings tap class which I decided to join last week. The class is a part of the universities Athletics Union meaning that the classes are free so with my spare time I have decided to learn a new skill. One of my housemates is an incredible dancer so I took inspiration from her, although even if I practiced 24/7 I doubt I will get any good at the dancing.
I hope that you’ve had a great Thursday and I can’t wait to get Blogtober up and running!
